School & Work Physicals

Please bring your photo ID, insurance card (if applicable), immunization records, any required forms from your school or employer, and a list of current medications. If you wear glasses or contacts, bring them for the vision screening. For students, bring any previous health records if this is your first visit to our clinic.

Most physical examinations take approximately 15-30 minutes. This includes the medical history review, physical exam, and form completion. We strive to be efficient while ensuring a thorough evaluation. Same-day appointments are often available, and walk-ins are welcome based on availability.

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans. However, coverage for school and work physicals varies by plan. Some insurance companies cover annual physicals as preventive care, while others may not cover physicals required for school or employment. We recommend calling your insurance provider beforehand to verify coverage. We also offer competitive self-pay rates for those without insurance or whose plans don't cover these exams.

Most schools require physicals to be completed within 12 months of the start of the school year. We recommend scheduling physicals in early summer to avoid the back-to-school rush. For sports physicals, UIL (University Interscholastic League) requires exams to be completed within one year before participation. Yes, we offer immunizations at both our clinic locations. During your physical exam, we'll review your immunization history and can administer any required vaccines during the same visit. This is particularly convenient for school physicals where certain vaccinations are mandatory. We stock commonly required vaccines including Tdap, meningococcal, HPV, and flu shots. Please call ahead if you need specific vaccines to ensure availability.
